What is SafeSleepOnce?

SafeSleepOnce enables your Mac to enter a secure low-power state known as "safe sleep" or "hibernation" and then automatically transitions to normal sleep mode. Unlike regular sleep, safe sleep saves the computer's entire state to disk, allowing for faster, more reliable startup without risking data loss in the event of a power failure. This utility is provided at no cost, and users are welcome to support its development through voluntary donations. The application is expected to be compatible with Mac models released after October 2005
