What is SAM Broadcaster?
SAM Broadcaster is an Internet radio broadcasting application developed by Spacial. The software provides functionality to operate an Internet radio station from a single computer. It can be used to run Live Shows where a DJ selects tracks and mixes the sound, as well as fully automated programming controlled by various rulesets outlined by the operator using PAL scripts to select tracks and queue shows. SAM Broadcaster connects to common streaming servers such as SHOUTcast and SHOUTcast2, as well as web servers like Live365 or Spacial's own paid stream hosting services, CheapestStream and SpacialNet. For statistical purposes, the software displays listener counts as reported by the streaming servers in a graphical format. Additionally, SAM Broadcaster includes a tool to generate reports on listener counts and played tracks as required by licensing bodies such as ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC for royalty purposes
