What is SDL TRADOS?

SDL Trados Studio is a powerful Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) tool trusted by over 250,000 translation professionals worldwide. Its sophisticated features enable users to complete translation projects more quickly and efficiently. At the core of the software is a robust translation memory (TM) system that recycles previously translated content, allowing for faster project turnaround while preserving quality. Additional productivity-boosting features include AutoSuggest predictive typing and seamless integration with SDL Language Cloud machine translation engines. SDL Trados Studio supports a comprehensive selection of languages, including all language combinations available in Microsoft Windows 8.110, and can handle a wide range of file types, from Microsoft Word to Adobe InDesign. Users can also collaborate on SDL Trados GroupShare projects by connecting directly to the GroupShare server from the Studio desktop application. To maintain translation quality and consistency, the software includes SDL MultiTerm for terminology management as well as built-in quality assurance (QA) checks.
