What is SelfControl?

The SelfControl app for Mac OS X allows users to temporarily block access to distracting websites, email servers, and other internet-based content during designated time periods. This free and open-source tool empowers individuals to enhance their productivity and focus by restricting their ability to engage with potentially distracting online resources. Once the user has set a specific duration for the block and added the desired sites to the blacklist, the application will prevent access to those targets until the timer expires, regardless of whether the computer is restarted or the app is deleted. This innovative solution provides a straightforward means for Mac users to enhance their concentration and minimize unwanted digital interruptions
