What is SkyVector?
The SkyVector platform offers a comprehensive suite of aeronautical tools to facilitate flight planning and navigation across the United States. At the core of the platform are the FAA Sectional Charts, which provide detailed visual reference for VFR flight planning nationwide. Additionally, the system features Terminal Area Charts focused on the airspace surrounding major Class B airports, offering greater detail for navigating those complex environments. For instrument flight operations, SkyVector provides IFR Enroute charts for both low and high altitude en-route planning, as well as Approach Plates and other critical IFR reference materials. The platform also integrates current METAR weather data and a comprehensive worldwide FBO directory with fuel pricing information, ensuring pilots have access to essential operational details. Underpinning these features is a monthly update process that aligns the aviation chart data and airport information with the official NACO sources, guaranteeing the currency and accuracy of the flight planning tools
