What is Souk?

Souk is a Flatpak-based app store, written from the ground up using the GTK4 toolkit and the Rust programming language. It is designed to provide a dedicated platform for discovering and installing Flatpak applications, catering to both desktop and mobile devices such as the PinePhone, PineTab, and Librem 5. Leveraging the flexibility of Flatpak, Souk aims to offer a focused and streamlined app store experience, without the additional functionalities found in broader software management tools like GNOME Software. By utilizing Rust and GTK4, Souk seeks to deliver a robust, efficient, and adaptive user interface that seamlessly integrates with the diverse hardware and software environments of the modern computing landscape
