What is Sozi?
Sozi is an open-source browser-based presentation software that uses SVG and JavaScript to create animated presentations with zooming and panning capabilities similar to Prezi. Unlike traditional slide-based presentation tools, Sozi documents are organized as a single poster where content can be freely arranged. Playing a Sozi presentation involves a series of translations, zooms, and rotations that allow the viewer to focus on specific elements. The presentation content is created using a vector graphics editor that supports the SVG format, such as Inkscape, emphasizing graphics over bullet points
Highlights
- Flexible layout: Presentations are organized as a single poster rather than a slide deck, allowing users to freely arrange content
- SVG-based animations: Presentations utilize SVG images and JavaScript to create zooming, panning, and rotating animations
- Graphics-focused: The emphasis is on creating visually engaging presentations using vector graphics, rather than text-heavy slides
- Open-source: Sozi is an open-source project, allowing users to customize and extend the software as needed.
