What is Spyder?

Spyder is a free and open-source Python development environment that offers MATLAB-like features in a lightweight software solution. It is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems. Spyder is part of the spyderlib Python module, which is built upon PyQt4, QScintilla2, pyflakes, and rope libraries. The latest version of Spyder has removed the QScintilla2 dependency and integrated rope features
