What is Synth1?

Synth1 is a software synthesizer that emulates the functionality of the Clavia Nord Lead 2 Red Synth. It combines the common sound synthesis methods of subtractive and FM synthesis to provide a versatile and customizable sound engine. The software features a robust set of tools and controls to shape the audio output, including two oscillators with FM modulation and ring modulation, four filter types, and two LFOs that synchronize with the host application. Additionally, Synth1 offers an arpeggiator, tempo-synchronized delay effects, stereo chorus/flanger, legato mode, and portamento. The software is thoroughly optimized for efficient CPU usage, ensuring a light load on the system. Synth1 provides 128 presets and supports up to 16-note polyphony, making it a capable and adaptable virtual instrument for various music production tasks
