What is SynWrite?

SynWrite is a free source code editor and notepad replacement designed for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. It offers a range of features to enhance code editing and productivity, including syntax highlighting for numerous programming languages, fully customizable highlighting options, code folding, and a tree structure view for navigating source code. The application supports a wide variety of file encodings, provides auto-completion functionality, and includes a library of source code templates. Users can leverage the clipboard history panel, perform advanced search and replace operations with regular expressions, and integrate external tools to capture console output and navigate error messages. SynWrite also includes a document mini-map feature, a strings extraction tool, and support for Zen Coding, a high-speed coding engine for HTML, CSS, and XSL.
