What is Terasology?

Terasology is an open-source project that was initially known as Blockmania, founded by Benjamin "begla" Glatzel. The project aims to explore procedural terrain generation and efficient rendering techniques in Java using the LWJGL library. The engine adopts a block-based, voxel-like approach similar to the popular game Minecraft. Starting as a promising tech demo, the project has evolved with the contributions of Anton "small-jeeper" Kireev and Rasmus "Cervator" Praestholm, leading to the development of a full-fledged game concept
