What is TrueHDR?

The TrueHDR app for iOS devices empowers users to capture stunningly detailed high dynamic range (HDR) photographs directly from their iPhone or iPod Touch cameras. With its sophisticated algorithms, the app can also generate HDR images from existing photos in a user's library, even if they were originally captured with a separate camera using variable exposure settings. To create HDR shots, the app automatically aligns and blends the optimal details from at least two source images, each depicting different brightness levels within the same scene. This seamless merging process produces a single, realistic-looking photograph that faithfully represents the full tonal range perceived by the human eye, preserving both highlights and shadows in a visually striking result
