What is TrueNAS?
TrueNAS is an open source storage operating system that can be installed on virtually any hardware platform to share data over a network. It provides a centralized and easily accessible place for data storage, supporting various protocols such as CIFS (Samba), FTP, NFS, AFP, RSYNC, and iSCSI. TrueNAS also offers software RAID (0,1,5) functionality, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, and a full web-based configuration interface.
