What is Tweaks for Twitter?
Tweaks for Twitter is a Safari extension that enhances the user interface of Twitter.com in multiple ways. Developed by indie developer Jeff Johnson, this extension aims to provide a more streamlined and customizable experience for Twitter users. The extension removes various elements from the Twitter interface, such as promoted tweets, messages drawer, trends, "who to follow" suggestions, and the "explore" section. Additionally, it forces the "Latest Tweets" switch to appear if it is missing from the user's timeline. Tweaks also unsticks the title at the top of the Twitter window, making it scrollable. The extension replaces shortened https://t.co/ URLs in tweet links with the real unshortened URLs, allowing users to bypass Twitter's click tracker, though this feature does not work for Twitter cards or user profiles. Tweaks offers options to disable the new Twitter "Chirp" font and to swap the colors of the Follow and Following buttons. Furthermore, the extension has an option to automatically expand "Show replies" in conversations, currently supporting English, German, and Spanish display languages on Twitter
