What is Valorant?

Valorant is a team-based tactical shooter and first-person shooter set in the near future. Players take on the role of one of a diverse set of agents, each with unique abilities and backgrounds inspired by various countries and cultures around the world. In the main game mode, teams of five players compete as either the attacking or defending side, utilizing their agent's special abilities and an array of weapons to secure objectives and eliminate opponents. The game features a robust in-game economic system that rewards players for their performance, allowing them to purchase additional weapons and ability charges each round. Valorant offers a variety of weapon types, including secondary sidearms, submachine guns, shotguns, machine guns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles, each with their own unique recoil patterns that players must master to achieve accuracy. With 14 distinctive agents to choose from, the game encourages players to experiment and find the playstyle that best suits their individual strengths, whether they prefer to play as a scrapper, strategist, or hunter. Valorant aims to blend the tactical depth of Counter-Strike with the hero-based abilities of Overwatch, creating a compelling and accessible first-person shooter experience for players of all skill levels
