What is VB-Audio Virtual Cable?

VB-Audio CABLE is a Windows audio driver that functions as a virtual audio cable, enabling seamless connection and routing of audio signals between various applications. Once the VB-CABLE driver is installed, a new playback device appears in the audio device list, which can be set as the default device, just like any regular audio device. The Configure and Properties buttons allow users to set up multi-channel features and adjust the device's sound quality. All incoming signals to the CABLE input are then routed to the CABLE output, simplifying the process of recording the audio stream using another application. This virtual audio cable facilitates the transfer of audio signals from any source to any audio software supporting MME, DirectX, or WDM audio device drivers, making it a versatile tool for recording, analysis, and various audio-related workflows
