What is VisualGPSView?

VisualGPSView is a comprehensive application designed to provide users with a detailed graphical representation of NMEA 0183 data. The program supports both GPS and GLONASS satellite systems, enabling users to visualize the status and performance of their positioning and navigation systems

• Azimuth and Elevation Plot: Users can view all satellites in view, including their pseudo-random numbers (PRNs), azimuths, and elevations, allowing for detailed analysis of satellite coverage and signal reception
• Scatter Plot: The application offers a scatter plot feature, which displays individual position samples referenced to various reference types, such as the next sample, average, or user-defined
• Signal Quality/SNR Window: Users can monitor the signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of the satellites in view, with the signal quality window adjusting dynamically to accommodate the number of satellites
• Position Plot: VisualGPSView enables users to track latitude, longitude, and altitude averages, providing a comprehensive view of the position data
• NMEA Command Monitor: The program allows users to view the NMEA sentences as they are received, facilitating real-time monitoring and troubleshooting
• NMEA Recording and Playback: VisualGPSView offers the ability to record NMEA data directly to a file, as well as the option to read and playback NMEA data from a file, enabling users to analyze historical positioning and navigation data.
