What is volctl?
Volctl is a versatile volume control utility designed to enhance audio management on Linux systems. It enables users to regulate both the main system volume and the individual volumes of running applications directly from the system tray. The application features a user-friendly interface, displaying icons and names of active programs alongside their respective volume levels. Volctl also provides a per-application VU meter, allowing users to monitor the audio levels of each running application. Additionally, the utility supports double-clicking to launch the PulseAudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) for advanced audio configuration, as well as mouse-wheel scrolling for quick volume adjustments.
