What is VuFind?

VuFind is a highly versatile library resource portal crafted by libraries for libraries. Its core purpose is to empower users with seamless access to a diverse array of library resources, surpassing the limitations of traditional online public access catalogs (OPACs). This innovative platform is designed with modular flexibility, allowing libraries to implement the basic system or a comprehensive suite of components as per their unique requirements. As an open-source solution, VuFind grants libraries the freedom to adapt and customize the modules to their specific needs, or even develop new modules to expand their resource offerings
