Part of Windows, everything required for this feature ships with Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise, eliminating the need to download a VHD. Every time Windows Sandbox runs, it's as clean as a brand-new installation of Windows, as nothing persists on the device and everything is discarded after closing the application. It uses hardware-based virtualization for kernel isolation, relying on Microsoft's hypervisor to run a separate kernel, which isolates Windows Sandbox from the host. The environment also benefits from an integrated kernel scheduler, smart memory management, and virtual GPU, making it an efficient solution
