What is WinMerge 2011?

WinMerge 2011 is a fork of the original WinMerge application that compiles without dependencies on ATL/MFC. This allows zero-budget developers to build WinMerge from sources using Visual C++ Express editions. The 2011 series includes approximately the same features as the WinMerge mainstream trunk, with the exception of plugins, which were ruled out due to design flaws. However, the addition of support for scriptlet-based file transforms helps compensate for the lack of plugins
