What is wxBasic?

wxBasic is a cross-platform Basic interpreter that enables users to create standalone executable programs. Developed primarily in C with C++ linking to the wxWidgets library, wxBasic leverages the cross-platform capabilities of wxWidgets to provide a consistent user interface on Windows using native controls, as well as on Linux systems leveraging the GTK library. Additionally, ongoing efforts are underway to expand wxBasic's reach to the Macintosh platform
