What is X-Mouse Button Control?

X-Mouse Button Control is a Windows application that allows users to remap their mouse buttons and expand the capabilities of their mouse. It enables users to provide application or window-specific mappings, allowing different button configurations for different applications or windows. The application supports up to 5 'layers' of button configurations, which can be switched between using hotkeys or mouse buttons. It also allows users to alter the behavior of the scroll and tilt wheel functions, addressing issues with windows that do not normally respond to these controls. Profiles are automatically activated by moving the mouse over the defined window or when the specified application is active. X-Mouse Button Control is compatible with a range of Windows operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP, 2003, 2003 R2, Vista, 2008, 2008 R2, and 7. The installation process determines the appropriate version (x64 or x86) based on the user's system
