What is Zapping?

The Zapping application is a versatile TV viewer designed for the Gnome desktop environment, offering a range of features for users on Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris operating systems. With the integration of a compatible TV card, Zapping enables users to watch live television, capture screenshots, record video, and record audio. Furthermore, the application comes equipped with a deinterlacer and a Teletext viewer, providing users with the ability to access closed captions and Teletext subtitles. Additionally, Zapping supports LIRC (Linux Infrared Remote Control), allowing users to control the application using a compatible remote control
