What is Zenmap?

Nmap, the Network Mapper, is a versatile and powerful open-source utility that enables network exploration, security auditing, and a range of network management tasks. Its capabilities extend far beyond basic network scanning, as it can determine the availability of hosts, identify the services and applications running on those hosts, detect the operating systems and versions in use, and even identify packet filters and firewalls. Nmap's flexibility and performance make it an indispensable tool for system and network administrators, who rely on it for tasks such as network inventory, service upgrade management, and uptime monitoring
