What is Grit Game Engine?
The Grit Game Engine is an open-source game engine licensed under the MIT license that enables extensive scripting capabilities through the Lua programming language. The engine supports the creation of large open-world maps and efficiently streams assets from disk storage to provide seamless gameplay experiences akin to popular open-world titles such as the Grand Theft Auto series, Saints Row, Crysis, Fallout 3, Just Cause 2, Mafia 2, and Burnout. This community-driven project aims to provide a free and versatile foundation for developers to build their own open-world 3D games, with the ability to read, modify, and integrate the source code as needed
