    What is Xming?

Xming is a full-featured X Window System Server designed specifically for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It offers a standalone, native Windows implementation that is lean, fast, and easily portable without requiring a machine-specific installation or access to the Windows registry. Xming provides secure functionality when used in conjunction with SSH, and includes an enhanced PuTTY Link SSH client as well as a portable PuTTY replacement package. The server supports interactive 2D and 3D network-transparent graphics rendering through the integration of WWWMesa with WWWGLX or WWWMicrosoft WGL. For graphics cards with hardware-accelerated OpenGL support, Xming also offers high-performance Windows WWWAIGLX, enabling efficient GPU-accelerated graphics
